I am writing this in recommendation of Dorchester Bricklaying Guild. John Loving was recommended to us to carry out brick work on our project in Winfrith, Dorset. The project was located far outside of our usual radius and therefore it was not possible for our usual contractors to attend. John Loving was contacted, and Dorchester Bricklaying Guild was subsequently awarded the bricklaying contract.

I am always apprehensive when appointing a new contractor but this was found to be unwarranted.

I found the operatives on site to be professional, knowledgeable, conscientious and courteous always.

The quality of the brick and block work was high up with some of the best I have seen for some time. The brick was a mix of two types as we were trying to recreate existing brickwork when that brick was no longer manufactured which meant the mix had to be done by hand as 60/40.

All the work was carried out to a very high standard on budget and met with our usual tight programme.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank John and his team for all the hard work they did for me in a pandemic and some of the heaviest rain storms this year.
